An Italian Michele Dore

An Italian bespoke jewellery designer and an excellent jeweller. Due to COVID, Michele passed away on the 25th December 2021. He was 59 years old. He devoted his life to the jewelry-making industry, spending nearly 20 years in the famous Hatton Garden, London, England. Selina was fortunate to collaborate with him in the last year of his life, during the completion of the final year of her degree course. He inspired and encouraged her as she worked on the graduation design of the London College of Fashion. Selina Yang finally graduated with a first class degree! This is the beginning of the SELINA YANG brand! The first phase of the design of the ”Special Moments” series is also to commemorate the moments with Michele! Each of the pieces in the “Special Moments” collection are named after the streets in Hatton Garden, the famous area in London that is renowned for jewellery making and where Michele worked for many years. The decision to name each piece in the collection after the street names of Hatton Garden is to further commemorate Michele’s influence on Selina Yang’s work. I miss you, Michele Dore, and will always be so grateful to you for your guidance. To Michele Dore…………my inspiration.
